what more can I do to this thing (1100T/H50)

Thread Starter
Built this a while ago. It took me a while to do the tweaks to it. Seems to run fine. This passed 6 hours of each OCCT and Prime95 stress test (six workers).
I appreciate any suggestions for things I can do to abuse it more.

Oh duh.
CPU is overclocked from the stock 3.3 GHz to 4256 MHz (multiplier is 16 * 266). Voltage is set to be about 1.49 Volts. Temperatures are in the low fifties range when all cores are busy in Prime95 stress test.
52 degrees Celsius, under 100% load in OCCT Perestroika.
When idling, temepratures are 28-29 degrees Celsius.
The fans on the radiator of the H50 are blowing out of the case in a push-pull configuration.
Also, the CPU Northbridge containing the IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) is running at 2660 MHz, the voltage for that is set at 1.28 Volts. "Reference speed" is set at 266 MHz.
The memory lastly, is kind of meh. It would not run at the 8-8-8-24 1T timings when set to 1733 (886 MHz). I had to loosen timings to CL9 and then it was fine.

It seems pretty good to me
You can try to get the CPU-NB a little higher, to 2900MHz with a little voltage bump, to 1.3V or so. Have you tried 8-9-8-24-1T, or a little voltage bump too, to your RAM to see if it would stabilize?

Temps are great BTW CPU temps, not core temps, right?

in my quest for the "sweet spot" I changed, for the most part, memory parameters. It appears that failed overclocks are either memory related or CPU Voltage too low/ temps too high. So I lowered CPU speed in favor of memory and IMC overclock.

So now I got this.

"reference speed" 280 (whereas before it was 266)
CPU: 4060 MHz (14.5 * 280) @ ~1.48 Volt (before: 4256 MHz, 16.5*266)
CPU-NB (memory controller) 2800 MHz @ 2.55 Volt (b/f: 2660 MHz @ 2.5V)

Memory:
Stock 1600 (800 MHz DDR) XMP 8-8-8-24 2T @ 1.5V
overclocked to 1866 (933 MHz DDR) 9-10-9-24 1T @ 1.5V
(before: 800 MHz/1600 DDR 8-8-8-20 1T @ 1.5V)

It is G.Skill CL8 8GB kit (2x 4GB) by the way (Ripjaws X)

Now a dumb question. The temperatures I gave were numbers from CPUID HWmonitor: Core Temps. Where do I see the CPU temp?

That's a nice OC! What prime95 temps are you getting? Is it already stable?

Edit: It should appear right under the voltages readings, under Temperatures. might not say CPU. Usually, CPU temps are ~10ºC higher than core temps.

Matroska,
Stable, I don't know for sure yet, I am in windows typing this and I haven't crashed yet, so I am on to something here, LOL.

Let me run Prime95 for a bit, I'll take a snapshot of HWmonitor while it's going and leave you to interpret what kind of craziness this is.

Usually, an hour of Prime95 weeds out like 90%+ of bad overclocks. SO here goes.
