TMPIN0 is your CPU temp most definetly. TMPIN2 is your board's sensor. TMPIN1 probably is your VRM/MOSFET temp, but not sure about that... could be PSU temp too

as the title says,
I fired up Prime95 for all six workers, CPU 4060 MHz (14.5 * 280)
at ~1.490 Volt. I am assuming here that temperatures reached into the 60's (I didn't look, but it happened quick, within a minute or so) and the mainboard shut this crap down to protect the CPU.

SO I lowered the voltage down to 1.448 volts for the CPU, leaving everything else as-is. I guess I should continue to volt-down until I get errors or BSODs. Am I doing this backwards? LOL.
SO here goes again...prime95.

i'd consider crysis or folding a better way of checking stability.
i could run any test at 4.2,then crash in 10 minutes of gaming!

Keep lowering the Vcore till you bsod, then raise it up a notch.

Yes, volt-down until you can prime successfully for a few hours. Disable the automatic restart in case of failure in the advanced options of your windows.
If you don't know how,
My computer -> right click> Properties -> System advanced setting (or something like that) -> Advanced tab -> Startup and recovery - Definitions -> uncheck automatic restart.

By doing this windows will hold the BSOD so you can actually see it if it happens

Coolio831,

Are you referring to 3DMark Vantage? I guess I can try that too LOL.
Thanks to all of you for your input!

SO friends,

I pretty much got nowhere testing for stability. I think I was doing too much at once. Overclocked memory, tweaked memory timings, overclocked CPU-northbridge, tweaked voltage for CPU-northbridge AND testing stability for CPU overclock? LOL I am an idiot.

OK so everything back to default settings.

Memory-> 8-8-8-24 2T 800 MHz (1600 MHz DDR) as per XMP profile.
1.5V [AUTO]

CPU northbridge: 2000 MHz [AUTO]. Default voltage [AUTO]

HT LINK: interestingly, when this is set to [AUTO], it is at 2600 MHz.
Which I hear is the specification as per AMD data sheet. And yet all the overclocking therapists out there are bleating not to have it run at anything but 2000 MHz. ***!?

"Reference Speed" (my mainboard BIOS calls this "FSB") 200 [AUTO]

CPU:
4100 MHz [200] * [20.5]
Voltage: 1.58 Volts

Basically, I needed to start from scratch here. Set the VID up high [1.58V], and I am going to downclock from there. 1.49 Volts is definetely not enough.
I COULD NOT GET THROUGH 10 MINUTES OF PRIME95 or get past the airplanes in 3DMARK Vantage @ 1.49 Volts. And by that I mean, everything at settings as described above, CPU @ 4100 MHz 1.49 Volts.
I might have to stay under 4000 MHz for the CPU.
Prime95 just stopped working.
