Is it worth $80 to get the Dell Ultrasharp U2412M over the U2311H?

That's after taxes as well. I want a non-glossy monitor as well as one I can be satisfied with for a long time (5+ years), so my favorite was the U2410, but even on sale at $479.99 it was a little too steep. Now, I've narrowed it to these two, and I want some opinions.
Thanks.

I think its worth it, you get 1 inch extra, plus 10% extra screen area (1920 x 1200 vs 1920 x 1080) - I prefer a 16:10 aspect ratio, personal preference. Of course both monitors are excellent options and should serve you well for many years, but if you think about $80 over 5+ years and it comes out to very little smile.gif

I haven't seen much feedback on the U2412M although the specs look good especially if you like 16:10, but I can tell you that the U2311H is a great monitor.

I just received my third a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier. biggrin.gif

However, if you're planning on running just one monitor and keeping it for awhile, I would probably go for the larger size.

Just my 2c worth,

Rich

Yeah, I was actually thinking about ditching my current 22" + 19" (yeah, it wasn't a great setup) dual monitor setup and just go with one monitor, especially with college coming up and a tiny dorm room to look forward to. That's actually part of the reason I wanted the U2410; the PIP and PBP would have been useful for xbox + PC, but then I figured the resulting sizes would harm both experiences (any opinions on this would be great as well!).

New review for U2412m by lessnumerique and now it seems a disaster in games for excessive reverse ghosting and overdrive trailing and this is impossibile to fix.
instead perfectly linear the colors and contrast ratio comment compared to users reviews.
