And well do you have any other game which require CF6970 besides Metro 2033 ?

Selling a GTX 590 to buy a 6990 ?

590 > 6990 (reference models, not sure about non-ref)

If I could give negative rep for this post I would. You're pretty much completely wrong on all counts.

The best thing any of us can do for this thread now, is to leave it alone.

The GTX 590 is the is the crysis 2 of the video card world, it's not as powerful as people had hoped it would be, being that it is a dual GPU. Add to that the fact that it is two underclocked 580s cores... And that it scored below a single GTX 580 on www.passmark.com!

On top of all that, when owners tried to clock it to stock 580 speed GPUs with a modest volt mod and overclock it kuntucky fried many owners cards so yeah people are pissed at it

No it can't. Metro 2033, The witcher 2, Crysis 2 maxed out(in firefights).
My 580 maxes those out just fine (With the help of my 2600k of course). Metro sometimes goes above 100FPS. Witcher stays in the 70s range. Crysis 2 I'm not too sure about. It's usually at 60, can't seem to get any higher. Hopefully they add 120FPS support later on because it was available before the texture and dx11 patch. Someone know the config to make it so? I stopped playing it completely since.

From what I understand the 6990 beats the 590 most of the time.

Could anyone explain the poor performance in crysis 2 and also, why it cant even hold a 20mhz core overclock without artifacting?

Crysis 2, the witcher 2, ETC. Also, 6990 is better than 590 by far.
