Crysis 2 has CrossfireX problems, disable one GPU and see if the FPS will improve.

But yes your CPU is bottlenecking you GPU, mainly because SO few games can even take advantage of the more cores so the outdated architecture is failing you.

Wait for BD, or go for SB.

Also what is your % GPU usage in games?

YOu can check this with MSI Afternburner

I can assure you this is completely true.

First of all, I am no fanboy of any brand, I've had AMD, Intel, Nvidia...

I had an X6 1055T @ 4.1Ghz and NB @ 3Ghz, and even with such an OC (Couldn't go higher) it had quite a nice bottleneck in my HD5970 specially in games like BFBC2, Crysis 1, COD: Black Ops... etc

Moved to an i7 2600k, and at the same OC of 4.1Ghz it was like night and day change!

You're definitely going to have a bottleneck on that 1090T even if you have it at 4.4Ghz sadly.

However, it's not going to be very big, so I'd just ignore it.

Thuban was 1/3 the price of a SB 9 months ago, and sadly I was lured by the six core mirage. But after much research and reading, there is bo doubt SB would be a better choice. Going to wait for the benchmark results of a BD and decide then.

Why not wait for bulldozer or get a 2500k/2600k based system

I faced the same situation. got what I could for my am3+ board and 1090 and moved on. I'm tired of waiting. I have no allegiances.... anybody that does is just plain silly. 2500/2600k setups are much cheaper. Lots of people selling here in anticipation of the new intel socket. 2011 I think ? I picked up a 2500k + P8P67 Pro Asus board for 300 in the For Sale section. Now my 6970's are running like they should.

No allegiances here either, but 3dguru states that you should get about 50fps with a stock t1100. I'll do some tweaking with the NB and see where it gets me. Hopefully Bulldozer will save us! *fingers crossed*

TheBlademaster01 and kcuestag pretty much confirmed my suspicions.
