Corsair AX850 or AX1200 for my new 580GTX SLI rig

Thread Starter
I need a new PSU and the corsairs rate very well, so I think I'm going with them for my new build. I've read the reviews and the Corsair AX850 comes great and so does the AX1200 so that's looking like the brand to get.

Would I need a 850W or a 1200W to run a 580GTX SLI setup? Is CORSAIR THE BEST OPTION FOR A NEW PSU?

My current upgrade down below, please comment!

  1. i5-2500K
  2. Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7-B3
  3. 8GB DDR3 2133mhz Gskill rip-jawsX
  4. EVGA 580GTX x 2 - in SLI
  5. Cucuial M4 128GB SSD
  6. 3 X 3 TB Hitachi 7200rpm HDD
  7. Corsair H80
  8. Fractal R3 case

So there you have it, give me some advice!

A quality 850w will suffice. Save some money here.
