Question regarding Origin & BF2

Thread Starter
Hello all, I was just curious if i was able to download and install BF2 through Origin by using the serial that came with the game, similar to Steam if it was a Steamworks game.

If you're wondering why, I don't just go install it off the disks, is because whenever i would install it, I would get a werid error, whenever I would try opening the game, same error on xp,vista and 7. I even got an ISO, tried booting off of it, and installed it that why with my legit serial, no dice.

Thanks in advance.

You can try adding it either in Origin itself or here: https://activate.ea.com/gameactivation.do

It won't work, you have to use the LIVE CHAT in origin to get it added, and it depends who you get. Took me 3 tries and I got 2142 added smile.gif

Hmmm.. Well after I activated it, it told me to download EA Download Manager to download BF2, so i did, which turned out to be Origin.

But then when i go to redeem the code in Origin, it says invalid serial confused.gif

For me it didn't work with Origin but it did with the link, now it's in my list of games in Origin.

Hmm.. It's not appearing in my list of games in Origin, I tried talking to someone via Live Chat, and the last thing he could tell me was that..

"Ok, at this time we are doing routine maintenance on the older servers. Please try again in 5 to 7 business days."

Second guy I spoke to said there was a problem with their code generator..

I guess this is what I get for giving Origin a chance.. rolleyes.gif

You can't add games that were released before 2009 (for now) I've tried more than 100 times on Live Chat thinking they were lying to me, but no it's really not working atm... they are working on it they say

Well poo. That's lame.. I'm gonna try a few more times, but I'm not gonna break my neck over it.

Thank you.
