What is a LAN Event/Party?: A LAN Event or LAN Party is where gamers gather and come together with their PC's, connect the PC's together through an extremely fast network, and play games with little to no Latency or Lag. LAN's are really fun and good way to meet new gamers, make friends, and show of your custom designed PC (or get help with anything PC Gaming related).

About Us:
Great Escape LAN is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing awesome, fun, and friendly gaming among friends and family. All money and proceeds made from the event will be donated to charity (United Way of Sacramento) to help support our community and those in need. Great Escape LAN is meant to be a Family Friendly Event/Environment. Meaning we are not focused on competitive types of events or game play(e-sports). We do run a couple friendly tournaments for the sole purpose of entertainment. There will be a raffle and an event inspired prize give away for registered guests and participants only. For complete rules and regulations please review our rules section on the Great Escape LAN website and read over our Waiver Form. All attending guests must completely read, review, sign, and bring the waiver at check-in, in order to be let in the event. If you do not bring a waiver form, there will be extra ones on site.

Stuff to bring:
We at Great Escape LAN will provide switches, power strips, tables, and chairs. Please bring the following.

. Network cable (20 feet)
. Power cables for your rig (limited to 2 plugs on a power strip*)
. All your computer equipment (computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, headphones etc NO SPEAKERS)
. A chair of your own. (we have basic metal chairs provided)
. Food (there is plenty of food places within walking distance from the event so we are not providing any)

What constitutes a regular vs high power seat?

and what will be different about that seat? Do I get a double phase 20A breaker to myself?

All circuits are 20a except for the High Power section. High Power is granted a higher amperage circuit for the really beefy rigs! If you're worried about power then you definitely want to grab a High Power seat.

I'd like to make a note that there's only 14 seats left out of 64. If this event fills up, there's a high chance that Intel will make this an official LANFest event. That would allow the next Great Escape LAN to be longer and more affordable, with more prizes and sponsors. Support the Northern California LAN community and buy your seat now!

EDIT: Sorry for double post.

We're trying really hard to fill up. We might not be able to fill up so chances are there will be seats open during the event.

EDIT: Before anybody asks, I'm not an admin for the event. My best friend is one of the admins there (The Dude) and I'm referring to "we" as the whole LAN community around here.
