I just downloaded EVGA's tool for overclocking, and I underclocked it. I have no access to the voltage, probably because it isn't the reference card. It's looking like I have to RMA frown.gif

Did you try 266.58?

I just got the card yesterday. I will try my 4x slot, but I'm losing faith. The drivers didn't work, and it was working last night when I was playing dirt3.
this is the error I get QHi4v.jpg

try msi after burner u need to go into the settings and tick unlock voltage control see if that works if it doesnt best bet is to rma like every 1 said, if u can get it stable u can keep it but who's to say it wont do it again so (if they have done overclocking its there fault for sending out a card thats not stable)

In that case before you RMA, try the different slot and the 266.58 driver.

EDIT:

You should have another PCI-E x8 slot don't you? try that one.

You should have another PCI-E x16 slot don't you?

I tried the other slot, which is 8x according to Newegg. This didn't work, and I am running the older drivers that were recommended (266.58). It still crashes once a load is put on the GPU in the three games I have purchased on steam. I think this is the line, and I have to RMA.

I bought the card new on Newegg. sadly the voltage control, even when unlocked, doesnt work, like I said before, probably because this isn't a reference card. I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to RMA now.

I'd suggest installing MSI Afterburner and bumping the voltage up a little bit beyond stock.

If it's stable after that, you can either RMA or stick with the slightly increased voltages.

Either route you take should be fine.

RMA

seems like I just have the best luck, my parents were reluctant to let me spend my summer job money on this PC, and now it's just giving them more fuel to the anti-computer-building fire. I hope newegg can do this cross-shipping like someone else said.
