I have a i7 990x CPU and a Asus P6X58D-E motherboard but was thinking of changing this motherboard and getting a better motherboard for my i7 990x. I understand a overclocking matters on how good the cpu is and not the motherboard is this true? or having a better motherboard you get better overclocks? What's the point in better motherboards don't they all do the same thing? It's jus that I feel using a beast of a CPU like i7 990x does not do it justice in a motherboard like Asus P6X58D-E but then again my thinking could be wrong.
