Price matters more than performance to me, to me a Mid Grade card is usually enough.

The resolution u game @, dictates the video card u need. Nothing more.

Wow that was unexpected, I wonder if AMD will release enthusiast or mainstream video cards first this time around. It would be nice if they released all the cards at once or at least enthusiast and mainstream at launch.

It'd be pretty cool if they could fit twice as many shaders in the same amount of space though.

Unless they release in October, they'd be a bit later than I had predicted. Fingers crossed for October.
Me neither, but in practical uses, sizes usually are 28x28/40x40. which makes it a bit smaller than half the size 49% of the size actually!

Sounds good, I want to get the 7990, just hope it won't cost me over $1K which it probably would since that NVIDIA isn't going to release Kepler this year and ATI/AMD won't have any competition usually means higher prices.

I really want to get a 7970 but ATI's developer support is lacking compared to Nvidia's... *sigh*
Those stream processors are VLIW and AMD states that they'll ditch that. So the new stream processor count for Tahiti XT could be below 1000 or over 3072. We can't know that.

I will not buy any AMD gpu, but I like they're releasing soon so Nvidia can step up their release dates on 6xx gen cards, which I will be buying... lol

Wish they didn't release new graphics cards so quickly just feels like your current card is losing money every day!
