haha i've had some funny ones in cs ... 43 dmg in 11, 93 dmg in 19 etc... i put it down to bad rego and server lag.

problem with cs:s was, if you wanted a hs just aim at the feet

I found that to be an effective strategy while spraying the AK.

Why? to kill CS once and for all ? I hope all the 1.6/S players in cevo(god this league is dead) / esea all adopt it and make it a tourney worthy game again. There has not been a single fps since CS that has really filled the spot. A focus on 5v5 competitive matches would be great considering every FPS since then has been focused on bells and whistles.

From what I understand its built on the latest updated source engine, unlike CS:S. And has a feel different from both source and 1.6.

I think it has potential, valve may have finally decided to listen to the people that made CS the fps powerhouse it was initially...before they screwed it up and everything.

Your forced to learn every gun and if you want to win you learn them well. Then you play regular CS (or CSS, whatever) and it changes how you see the maps. That and memorizing the maps works wonders. Oh, and always run with a knife, noobs don't.
Counter Strike sold well only because:
1. it had no competition
2. Source was considered a cutting-edge/latest and greatest engine for a while

Both of those no longer apply.

Sure, every gun has a "purpose" or style to it, but you can't deny that if you use one of the less common guns, you'll die a lot more often with it.

The other reason I never liked CSS is recoil. Aiming away slightly from your target gives you better chances of killing them than actually aiming at them.

Don't get me wrong, I don't need iron sights to be good, but I want a game that rewards for aiming properly, not spraying mindlessly like a noob. This is why I spent 10x more time playing Urban Terror than I did all Counter Strike games combined, as weapons in that game are completely balanced, headshots are way more satisfying and I don't need to waste time "training" for the first few minutes of the match to get a decent weapon (yes, I hated the buying menu).

Are you serious? You can aim at their heads and get HS in CS/CS:S all the time. I would say with that attitude you probably didn't play enough to get good at it. Rule #1 is that the first bullet ALWAYS makes it's mark. Heck, a good player can no-scope with the scout and get a HS, yes intentionally. UrT screws you on headshots, all the freaking time. I know, I play all the freaking time. lol Go to Fallen Angel's server, I'm there a lot. =( In CS/CS:S you really have to run burst. You can't spray, if you do it's a wonder you get h/s at all. Well, you can spray but that depends on the gun. I'm sure a lot of good CS/CS:S players would agree with me.

Like I said before, it only applied to CSS. CS1 has decent aim/accuracy IMO, unlike CSS.

I've spent about 50 hours on CSS, around 150 on CS1 and well over 500 hours on UrT at least. Most of the time I spent was in deathmatch across all 3.

And I explained in detail my gripe with CSS, now explain how in the hell you got "screwed" on headshots in UrT, to which I can easily reply the same "you're doing it wrong" comment (I got decent K/D ratios with headshots on a ball mouse with no mouse mat in UrT, so would really like to know how you didn't get headshots in it).

In CSS, if you aim for the head on the first shot, you will get it. After the first shot, what you're saying has some truth to it.
