As long as they work out the weapons, Source is a absolute joke.

Normally, I'd agree. However, Valve has always had a closer interaction to their fans than almost any other developer out there. Listening to the fanbase of such a highly regarded game might not be a bad idea

They could release this as a Multiplayer Pinball expansion to CS:S and people and it would still sell like hotcakes, which apparently sell very well.

adjustable weapon values
I sure hope this means you can get rid of the stupid weapon spread and have realistic recoil that the player actually has to control. I want to only have to rely on myself to control my gun, not sit in one position so that my character can control my gun.

looking forward for this non the less. and i hope not just because of the name. i dont want it to be what css was suppose to be, but rather a completely new game
Urgh, I certainly hope not, or we'll end up with a mipmapped bunnyhopfest that's good for "professional" twitch contests and not much else.

More seriously, I'm really glad they're addressing the lamentable gun balance. I'm really not glad that there's more chance of them releasing Ep3 that removing the AWP.

Oh hey one more thing: there's really no reason to keep that ridiculous dichotomy between moving and apparently firing at everything in a 45 degree cone; and standing still and hitting a gnat on the tip of a pin. Spec ops guys train regularly to hit stuff firing by feel (not down the sights) while moving full speed through a room.

Regardless, this game will consume my free time like a fat kid on a cinnabon.

meh heres my thoughts

The game should be built on PC for PC then ported to console, not the other way around. CS was successful on PC, they should cater to the PC crowd. They sold millions of copies on pc, and given the fact that the game came free for many people that says a lot. How many copies did the xbox version sell?

Secondly the console version and PC version should be VERY different. From the strength of the recoils kick to the buy menus. I'm sick of PC players having to deal with awkward mechanics that were designed for console or weak recoiling guns. GIMME MY 1.6 recoil. Games like dod and cs are a dying memory. now every game is just spray and pray and it sucks. Give me a game that rewards me for being accurate.

I fear the direction this is going, but maybe valve will listen heavily to the community and adjust changes. They really need to take a sc2 blizzard like approach to this for it to be successful.

Catharsis keep in mind what studio this is, also look at portal 2, I'm not worried about valve.

Except Valve is simply overseeing the development and not actually developing CS:GO. Hidden Path Entertainment is developing the game. It remains to be seen how tight a leash Valve has on HPE...

All these new CS games aren't that great. They need to just update the graphics in 1.6 Best FPS game ever but I don't play it anymore because I can't stand the graphics.
