What makes the Deck Legend worth more than the Blackwidow Ultimate? - Page 3

I use a BWU as a backup keyboard and I like it. The only reason I switched to a different board is because I wanted a tenkeyless board. I play a lot of games with it and haven't run into any issues using blue switches or any issues with it not being nkro, every key combo I've used has worked. Also, I've not had any quality or durability issues with it.

Truthfully, the Deck costs $50 to $60 more, so it sure as hell should be a better board.

Yeah, I think I'll get the BWU for ~$100 on Amazon prime. Just one quick clarification; I know the board has some of that shiny plastic, and that doesn't really bother me, but how much physical contact should you have with said plastic in regular use? Does your palm, like, rest on it? I'm only asking because if so it might be a little uncomfortable having to rest skin on that material.

Part of my palm rests on my BW (normal), but the oils from my skin are easily wiped away with a microfiber cloth. I have my keyboard right next to the edge of my desk, I suppose if you have it further away from you your hands would have less contact.

Yeah, I have the keyboard on the edge of a sliding tray, so generally my first finger joints rest on the edge of the keyboard, and my wrists are just sort of "hanging". I didn't mean to say I have a problem with getting the keyboard plastic dirty or oily, I just don't like keeping my skin in contact with that type of plastic for too long. When I think about it, I probably won't mind it with the way my hands are resting now, I just wanted to know if there was any contact made.

Thanks, again.

My palms do not touch my BWU. I suppose it depends on your hands. If you have smaller hands, they might rest on the shiny part of the keyboard. If you have larger hands, they probably won't have any contact with the keyboard aside from the keys.

I think blues are fine for MMO's. I used them, and felt like they were helping me remember which buttons I had pressed. You just have to be able to put up with the noise, and during 3am I found them to be annoying. You, or someone else might find them fine late at night. Especially, if you use head phones.

One thing about blues when gaming though... they get annoying for the movement keys in particular. The bump on blues is very distinctive, and every time you turn and move around you will feel it. That was another downside to the blue's for gaming. I didn't need to feel the bump while switching directions every second. Wasn't necessary.

I don't think noise will be a problem; I game alone with my doors closed, wear headphones, and use push-to-talk on Vent. As for movement, I hadn't yet considered that, but I use my mouse to turn anyways, so it shouldn't be too bad. It sounds to me like the Blue are the best "overall" switches for my situation. I went ahead and ordered the BWU. Should be here Tuesday. Thanks for all the help guys!
