GeForce GTX 560 ti

Thread Starter
Maybe I can get an answer in this part of the forum. I recently was asking about my computer freezing up when playing starcraft 2. I have run tests such as prime95 and furmark to the computer. I have passed prime95, but the as for the furmark, my computer freezes up not even 10 seconds to the test. Anyways, I was reading the motherboard that I have which is the ASUS p8p67 LE...well on there website, I don't see anything that says it supports NVIDIA cards...actually it reads: "Multi-GPU Support - Supports ATI® Quad-GPU CrossFireX™ technology", which leads me to believe that my motherboard and GPU are NOT compatible. Is this correct? Thanks.

As long as it has a PCI-E x16 slot (obviously yours does) it's compatible with all current gen Nvidia cards. You may not be able to run SLI on that board, but that's another story.

Most likely you just have a bad card.

That board definitely works with nvidia cards, so it's not a compatibility issue. Have you tried the GPU in another Mobo, and the Mobo with another GPU? If you have spare parts lying around, try switching out the GPU. If it works with a different GPU then it has something to do with your current GPU. If it doesn't work with a different GPU, then there is something going on either with your mobo or drivers.

That is in correct, that board definately does support nvidia cards, along with every other motherboard! Sounds like a PSU problem to me, or maybe even driver related?

What clock speed was your 560 Ti at, and what was the GPU temperature in Furmark?

It just means that if you want to have multiple graphics cards working together as one, they would need to be ATI cards set up in "crossfire".

There is no problem with using Nvidia cards on your board, you just can't connect multiple Nvidia cards in SLI.
