Yes, I realize that but, I was on a crappier air cooler than he has before and was at 4.2 stable with prime temps only near 55ish.

My case is all intake in front, bottom, with exhaust in back and at top.

Going back to square 1, 200 fsb x 20 starting with 1.43 vCore.

You guys are very helpful, I can tell I'm going to like it here.
Idle temps seem ok at stock speed. Should see what they are under full load with IBT at stock speeds.

WOW! <3 <3 <3

You guys are awesome! 15 mins into Prime Blend and highest core temp so far is 51.

Now in CPUID-HW, I can see the temps of my 6 cores, but I also have a "CPU" temp which is reading 57-60 degrees. Which temp should I be going by?
Coretemp also reads 49-51 degrees on all cores.

Go by the coretemp. That is calculated by the CPU itself. The CPU temp is the socket temp, reported by a sensor on the mobo. You don't want it going to like 100c or anything but the 62c limit refers to the core temp.

Those temps are pretty good. What speed/voltage are you at now?

Ok awesome, Max coretemp in last 20 minutes of full load is 51 degrees.

This is at vcore set to 1.48 in bios, but I think the VRM auto's in the mobo make voltage go up and down. It's sitting at 1.51 right now, which I am not comfortable with.
I'm going to lower it substatially, and continue to test and raise it until I'm good.

Sitting at 200fsb x 20.0 for 4013mHz

Rather than make a thread I'll post this here, hope the OP don't mind.

My bus was set to ~238 just from the extreme setting on the UEFI. If I kept it at that i'd be a little over 4.2ghz. Everything look okay to everyone else? Suggestions to move it up? I'm running 27-28c using CoreTemp while surfing the net.

1.51 is FINE. Seriously. Don't worry about it. Mine is the same way with LLC enabled. Has been for a long time.

I would set your setting in the BIOS and not through that Windows program.

The "CPU" temp part of Hardware Monitor is bothering me. It hit 65 and I got a warning popup from another program (AI Suite II maybe?) warning me that CPU temp was 65 degrees. But the Core temps in both HW and CoreTemp have hit 56 degrees at the highest.

I have hit 65c CPU temp plenty of times. All while my core temps are below 50. I look at it like a car. Yea under the hood is going to be hot. REALLY HOT. But as long as the coolant inside is at spec or below then you are ok. Just my .02$. I have had no issues and I run it like this ALL DAY. Plus the temps you hit during Intel burn test or Prime95, I don't think you will hit doing normal activities. Maybe folding...but that is it.

D

EDIT: Just sitting here browsing the internet my core temps are 36c but my CPU temp is 47c. I have EXCELLENT case air flow.
