Hrm, I looked at the XFX triple display stand, and it's about the cost of a decent display on its' own, the generic ones aren't much cheaper.
Any decent mid-range LCD screen will do it, but an IPS screen will be better, if you can squeeze them in to the budget.
Personally, unless there's a pressing need, then I'd do without the stand for now, as you can always get it later.

3d displays are NOT worth it. Hardly any of what you do will be in 3d, even if you game a lot. And you need a LOT more GPU horsepower to get a minor effect in games.

I have dual alienware optx aw2310's, and im going to be jumping to triple monitor 3d vision surround setup soon. 3D imo is quite an amazing feature WHEN IT WORKS. However its good to note, in 2d the 120Hz mode refresh rate is absolutely wonderful compared to the typical 60hz refresh rate. But keep in mind your going to be throwing down some serious coin. I've been looking for some large well built triple monitor stands, and unfortunately i think its best to go the custom route there is no ideal stand, all have some flaw. There are places that will provide custom mounting solutions for you.

(These monitors also have an hdmi/audio pass though connection, so if your in a multi monitor setup, an HDMI to your xbox, dvid for 3d to your pc, and simple select the source and your good to go, audio can be handled by the monitor. Just plug in a 3.5mm from monitor to your speakers)
