That is entirely dependent on your taste. I'd take the wider FOV and higher resolution of triple monitor. Some folks seem to never have looked out a paned glass window in their life though, and can't get past bezels.

For the budget you specify in the OP-you will not be able to get IPS 3xpanels and a stand, and 3x 3D 120hz and stand is almost as unattainable....even if you could somehow buy with the low pricing of computer parts in the USA.

At euro1100 forget about 3d surround. That will barely get you the top notch monitors you need. After that you'll need to spend $1Kusd on a couple video cards, but if you want 3d surround that is fast with eye candy, you'll need 3 Nvidia cards, plus probably a new mb and cpu. Sorry.

If you want 3d, stick to one monitor for now. If you're serious about 3d, study the Nvidia 3d forums first. There are some driver issues you should be aware of.

3dtv? Ghosting still an issue, pretty cool from a distance though.

If you want 2d surround, and you can bezel correct, it's still cool, I've just been spoiled with 3d.

Stand? I tore my hear out fiddling with that, getting one that will work perfect with the monitor you buy is tough. I ended up with 3 X 3M monitor stands.
