Best and most reliable SSD's

Thread Starter
Hi Overclock

I am pretty new in the harddrive world and is about to buy my first SSD
Think I am going with a 120GB one, BUT after a bit of research I found that there is a whole lot to learn and that there is a massive amout of people who have issues and crashes with SSD's

So now I just want to know which way i should go? What is the best?

Please help me out, i am truly lost and confused

Intel has the lowest failure rate (0.6%) among SSD makers, while the rest of the major companies seem to be in the 2%-3% range.

I've had two OCZ SSDs. One overheated on an intermittent basis, losing considerable amounts of data each time. The second one, a USB 3.0 model, cuts out any time random data is written to it for extended periods.

I'm giving a Kingston (Toshiba) V+100 a shot.

but still, if everybody is having problem, the failure procent can't be around 2-3?

originally I would have gone for OCZ Vertex or Corsair Force Series 3

Most reliable would be Samsung or Intel.

Just from researching all the different drives on newegg, OCZ is complete rubish as most of their reviews are about instability, BSODs, etc. After doing a bunch of research, I determined that Crucial is very reliable as the M4s don't really have many people reporting issues. I ended up getting a 128gb M4 for $220 based on the positive reviews from tomshardware and newegg on it. Hopefully it runs smooth when I get it Monday .

My brother also works at Micron who supplies the flash for Crucial though so maybe I'm biased .

From what I've read on forums, the issues are mostly with the newer 3 series.
