I also approve of this mobo.

Also, 4+1 mobos that can handle 125w are rare, and it's usually just a marketing gimmick.

Also, even tho you can get an MSI mobo, i do not recommend any of their low-end (and even most of the midrange mobos) both for the horror stories and for personal experiences with them (their video cards are unrivaled in quality tho, those i can recommend without thinking). As Tarun said, you gotta take the risk

Then try this one. Beefy enough even for an OC'd x6, and cheap.

Only difference is the Gigabythe has SATA 6.0, which is useless unless you're using a SSD (regular HDD's do not even saturate SATA 3.0 Gbps)

I'd recomemnd the Gigabyte for the Ultra Durable features. You cannot go wrong with either mobo tho.

There it comes.. I very badly wanted to get the http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD...qqs&templete=2
M5A78L-M LE for the 955be initially. But when i tried enquiring the prices.. they were not available

As you can see from the India website of Asus.. there are only limited chipsets available,..

As for the CPU, I am going to buck the trend of advice here and suggest that you go with the 555. If your intention is to game for cheap, this is probably your best option for cheapski. It is "only" 2 cores, (possibility of unlocking all 4) but you have the L3 cache and the ability to clock this thing up to 4 Ghz for sure. You can take the $30 you save over buying a 955 and throw it towards getting some really nice memory or something.
But... dont you feel the i3 2100 sandy.. would be a better option if one plans to settle down on a dual core..
of course.. this possibility of unlocking all the cores.. i do like it.. is it that simple ? plus not sure if this is available in India !

If you plan to buy a quad core you don't have many chances to unlock cores, unless you get a Ath 640, Ph 840T, Ph 960T BE, or Ph 970. For more info on what can unlock, and what can you get, check out this thread.

Isn't the bus speed of 2.0 GT/s not a problem?
