Lulz. No streaming service can get even remotely close to the bitrate for the video and audio of Blu-ray movies.

It's over with the drives. Because when you're looking for a movie you naturally think you need a new drive."

Is this the same kind of deal? "Exclusive" as in people will be wondering "***? The release date was September 12th. Where the hell is my Star Wars?" At least Star Wars is already a late comer to Blu-ray. Avatar didn't have that excuse; "Just how long does it take to put it in stores? The regular version's out. What am I suppose to buy in 3D? Alice in Wonderland, because you know THAT had great 3D visuals."
The time it took you to rant would have been much better spent going over to amazon and finding out that the release date is Sep 16th, so the one's buying a drive are getting it only 4 days earlier.

Why would it matter. George Lucas ruined the original trilogy on bluray with his over reactive editing sense. Just dig around for the various editing changes that he's put in the blurays. They may not all be true but I'd wait until they come out. I honestly don't want Greedo shooting first, Obi-wan's new "dragon call", ewoks blinking, and Darth Vader yelling that same pathetic "Noooo!" as he kills the emperor among other changes.

Ah yeah, forgot about about all that crap. Well, dammit.

I know about the changes and I still ordered The Complete Saga. This'll be like the fourth time I've bought the series. VHS, DVDs, now Blu-ray.

I'm such a sheep.

/care

This is the crappy release. They're still holding back stuff... there are more deleted scenes and the movies haven't yet been remastered for 1080p... they're using the remasters they created for the regular DVD release for this. Many people believe there will be another BR release down the road that will be better.

oh well.

I have been to all the original trilogy remastered midnight launches and the new trilogy midnight launches.

I have the remastered saga on DVD, the original theatrical releases of the original trilogy.
Now I am going to get the saga again on Blu-ray, and to all those saying "well it's all the same crap" yeah fair enough a lot is true in that statement. But in that case don't buy it , simple really.

This is just for those people that enjoy the experience and the quality Blu-ray can offer and for the true blooded fans.
