Northbridge CPU temps

I upped my NB frequency to 2600 over the stock 2000, and upped the voltage to 1.2v over the stock 1.1v. Now my CPU is 7C hotter at load (IBT). Is that normal? I don't remember experiencing anything like that on my old 790gx board.

It's not bad if its not over 70C, if you are in the 60's or lower you should be fine.

But, does overclocking the NB usually lead to such drastic increases in CPU temperature?

When you overclock the Northbridge, you should be touching the CPU-NB Voltage. The Northbridge freq is not the Northbridge it self on your Motherboard, It's the Integrated Memory Controller on your CPU, Increaseing the Northbridge freq will dramastically increase your system performance and your memory performance + L3

So yes, overclock and increaseing volts on the CPU-NB can increase the CPU tempature, but not by much as overclocking the CPU

Um, what? Was that a typo?
I should or should not touch the voltage and why?
