GTX 560ti Problems

Thread Starter
I've had my asus 560ti for a few months with no problems, everything on stock settings.

But yesterday artifacts started popping up everywhere on my computer and all games wouldn't run basically because they would be too messed up for a while before crashing. I tried: driver updates, checking memory, running fumark (it was unable) to no avail so I left it and looked into getting an RMA.

However after leaving my desktop off for the night this morning the artifact problem seemed to have gone away. It's working as usual.

I have noticed that I don't get the same fps as before. Starcraft 2 for example, went from ~130 last time i checked, to 70 this morning.

Now this isn't an problem that is too serious at the moment but are these signs that my GPU is breaking? Is it going start artifacting on me at some point again? What should I do

That's not too bad. Have you tried upping the fan speed?

It sounds like an overheating issue.

If upping the fan speed doesn't work, either RMA it or reapply the TIM and possibly invest in an aftermarket cooler.

I would not be investing any time, money, or effort in a completely stock card that is artifacting. Just RMA it.
