Need help with my Force III 60GB

Thread Starter
I can't get this thing to do anything. I couldn't get it to load windows, now I can't get it to work as a secondary drive.

I'd really like to securely wipe it and start over. Is there a way that I can do that in Windows? As it isn't my boot drive.

Any advice to get this thing working would be great, I'm about ready to RMA it.

Thanks

You can issue secure erase from inside Windows using hdparm by following this guide. They say it works on OCZ drives but hdparm is a general hard drive tool so it should work for you too. http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...se-for-Windows

You can also download parted magic and put it on a USB drive using Unetbootin or something like that, then you can secure erase it from parted magic by booting the flash drive.

If you are having issues during the installation, I found that disconnecting every other drive I had helped with that. I was getting a weird issue where it said it couldn't create a partition or something.

That guide didn't really mean much to me. I'm not incredibly educated in computer language.

Is there anything else you would suggest? I'm hoping that CorsairGeorge can help me out.
