Perhaps it's the ethernet cable? does the link light turn off when it fails? At least then you'll now if it's working on the link layer. It could be the BIOS is setting the CPU multi/FSB wrong thus radically overclocking the PCI/PCIe bus. This can cause issues you describe.
At work now, so can't try anything yet, but how else could I download and transfer files with zero internet and network access?

I think you misunderstood me, I am using my phone as a flash drive, since I don't have one. USB cable to SD card.

Do you not have that 1055T system there to use? and hey you didn't even bother to answer if the link layer light goes out when it fails. This is the FIRST and most important thing to check! That LED is there for a REASON.

Also can you ping localhost? Disconnect any cable from the NIC and ping it localhost and see if you have packetloss. That loopback address doesn't require a cable to be connected or a link layer presence.

What's with this DD-WRT firmware tag you have... Do you have DD-WRT? Sure you didn't clone the MAC or something and that's causing the issue? Check the routers logs man!

I also have to add I have used DD-WRT since Brainslayer first released it many years ago, heck I've been using the Cisco/linksys open source firmware since Sveasoft Alchemy! Current builds still have a lot of issues on consumer Broadcom and is the main reason I moved to Tomato USB. In particular Victek's builds of it. It runs A LOT BETTER than DD-WRT and doesn't have nearly as many bugs. Plus I like the AJAX interface and the SVG-based graphical bandwidth monitor!

Since he made a business of it and compiled/rewrote for Atheros/ISP gear the free broadcom consumer builds took a dive and he doesn't work with that code base as much anymore as there is no money in it for him.

Also some DSL ISPs only allow two MACs to be assigned to their DHCP server. You might have acceded that and you'll have to wait until the currently addresses expire if you have no way of releasing them. One way to expedite this is to turn off the DSL modem and wait 10 minutes. The ADSLAM will know it's lost it's link and usually that will tell the DHCP server to add the IPs leased back to the pool. Most though will send you to a walled garden to re-register the new MAC. I sure hope it isn't PPPoE DSL or you have set some PPPoE setting through the windows network fix wizard. PPPoE DSL should be extinct at this point!

If I only had a dollar for each machine I've fixed with PPPoE and ADHOC BS enabled by lusers with the Windows network fix wizard I'd be RICH!

It could be the MAC PHY that's damaged in some way or it's support electronics. OR the user is overclocking and they accidentally through clock dividers crank PCI or PCIe bus thus damaging the PHY.

Well I hope that all helps as it's the best I can offer with what I know of your issue.

PS did you also make sure to install the chipset drivers FIRST then the NIC drivers? If you didn't install chipset drivers at all I'm not surprised the NIC doesn't work properly.

Download AMD Chipset Driver V5.12.0.13 and install it after uninstalling your NIC drivers first. Then download the NIC drivers from Asus or Realtek and install them.
