Considering Vertex/Agility 3, Force 3, Wildfire etc? You need to read this!

A couple months ago, Anandtech mentioned the bsod issue people were having. He noted that he wasn't able to replicate it.

On Aug 11, he posted a sandforce 2281 comparison between several makes of ssd including OCZ, Corsair and Patriot.

In the comparison, he now notes that he has experienced the problem for himself several times even on different platforms. He has a whole page of the review dedicated to the bsod event.

Sandforce offered to fly down to Anandtech if he was able to constantly reproduce the error. That statement right there tells me that Sandforce, at this point, has no solution for the problem.

Wow, didn't take long for a thread to start at the OCZ forum. And for the OCZ support staff to go on the offensive vs Anand.

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...l=1#post667617

Staff member says Anand tested on p8p67 pro and got bsod but did not get it on other boards. Then rips Anand saying reviewers should focus where focus is needed. To me, that implies that Anand should be looking at the motherboard as the cause.

One problem though. Anand clearly also states in that review that he's had the same issue happen with an amd board but admits not as frequently. Convenient how that info is left out as ocz keeps blaming p67 for their issues.

The ocz staff member was called out politely on his remark. He was also asked some questions about what causes the problems on amd systems.

As you can see, his answer downplays the amd problem even existing.

On Aug 12, ocz owner Gonza posted in the support section asking for help from ocz support after firmware 2.11 sent him back to bsod land.

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...ith-AMD-system

Some forum members, not staff, gave him advice and pointed to a sticky made by one of the staff. He used the sticky instructions and is still having bsod.

To this point, no staff member has posted anything trying to help him. 4 days! Another forum member, not staff, told him to reflash back to firmware 2.09 which he was running stable before 2.11 came along.
