Krisk, your monitor is the FW900?

Crysis 2 might be running at a different refresh rate than what you have configured the position and size of on the usual 1920x1200 / refresh rate combination, and thus the monitor is handling a new setting, and size/position settings aren't remembered.

Try adjusting the size/position settings on the monitors OSD ,if you have the FW900, and if I understood your problem correctly. Most likely it should not affect the desktop.

Yea I have the Sony FW900 monitor.

I never thought about the refreshrate. How do I force crysis 2 to a certain refresh rate?

If that is not possible, I will try that other via the OSD.

The issue isn't about the refresh rate. It's just that CRT monitors "remember" certain position/size settings individually for certain resolution/refresh rate combinations.

For example, my monitors remember the settings for 2048x1536 @ 85hz, 1600x1200 @ 85hz, and 1920x1200 @ 60hz. Those are the ones that I have configured. Any other combination will not be configured properly. To fix this, you simply configure the image size /position when in crysis 2. If I'm correct about the refresh rate being different in crysis 2 than on your desktop, the size / position adjustement should not affect the desktop image. Only crysis 2

On CRTs, you have to adjust/auto adjust the display for each resolution and refresh rate. Usually there is an OSD on the monitor to show what refresh rate you are running on. Crysis 2 may be forcing a certain refresh rate you have not configured yet.

This is what I am saying, maybe worded better. lol

Luckily the OSD on the FW900 is not outright confusing like some others I have used. Probably one of the best menus I've used on a monitor. Should be a simple fix

Heres something werid guys. I unistalled crysis 2, and reinstalled it right now.

I dont have the DX11 package yet or the high texture package. Its a "naked" crysis 2. But now in 1920x1200, its filling out my screen 100%.

So either theres an issue with DX11 in this game here, or the High texturepack.

And this topic here, could back up my theory:

EDIT: And I have NEVER needed to adjust the display for any resolution and refreshrate, for as long Ive had this CRT FW900.
