Building my first build - Please help! - Page 2

I'm not sure how much you would like my personal preferences but these are what I would suggest:

Lancool K58W - $65 shipped (looks great with white LED bar through window - believe me)

- $100 shipped (my other dream case you might like this one)
Coolermaster Storm Scout - $80 shipped, $70 AR (commonly suggested)

I like these ones:

So out of the two:
which has better airflow?
which has better cable management?
will they be able to fit all of my parts in together?

also, are all the parts I selected compatible? thats the big thing I'm worried about.

The TEMPEST EVO has 2 front fan slots vs the CM 690 II's one. Often the top most side fan on the CM 690 (II) is useless due to tall CPU cooler. Trust me on that one, I used to own a CM 690. Althouh lots of fans isn't a necessity for good cooling, theoretically the TEMPEST EVO provides better airflow. Both feature excellent behind-tray cable management option. The Tempest EVO is also bigger, in fact it supports larger extended ATX (eATX) size motherboards. I like the design more too.

personal opinion, i think you should just wait like another month for the first wave of bulldozers to come out

I've done a little more research, and I think this may be a good idea.

I picked the case btw, the NZXST Tempest EVO is nice and it looks fabulous.

For the processor, waiting until Bulldozer comes out seems like a good investment. Even if I end up choosing not to get one of those, the price for the X6 1100T would drop anyway and then I'd be pretty pissed to have over-payed for it. I can wait another month, it's no big deal.

after u can always try and sell your card or about 50$

p.s if you chose to pick up a pc now, you can always buy a cheaper cpu thats on special than trade it out for a BD

Have you looked at the coolermaster HAF 912? The HAF series cases are awesome for keeping cool.

That card does appear to be nice, but I'm going to wait for the winter when the 7000 series comes out and then, if I'll buy one of the better 6000 series cards because the price should theoretically go down. Buying a new CPU now, I would if I was in a rush but I'm a patient man. I have my PS3 to supply me with entertainment until then.

I was actually looking in to those, but it's $140 (I'm trying to subsidize costs now that I'm going to get a bulldozer processor instead of the 1100T) and I've heard mixed reviews about them :/

Yeah, I saw those cases but they didn't look all that nice to me. I guess Cooler Master kind of depends on your opinion, and in mine they just don't look that good. The Tempest EVO on the other hand ...

Also, since I'm getting a bulldozer - should I choose a better motherboard?

I was thinking:

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

or

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
