There's really not any reason for anyone to run any Windows other than Win 7 on a modern computer anymore, especially not one like in your sig.
Unfortunately this is not true. There are tons of problems using older games with 7. This is why I have dual boot.

I upgraded from Vista to 7 last year and boy o boy.
The difference with gaming it has increased, and even some old gameshave much better support on 7 than Vista.

Which older games are you referring to? Have you tried running them in "windows compatibility mode"?

Vista improved a lot after 7 came out, some of the speed improvements were ported back into Vista in SP2, but 7 is even better still.

windows 7 is totally worth upgrading to in my opinion, feels much snappier on my low-medium powered rig than vista ever did.

We have skinny crack people around here. You have made the conclusion that changing to Win 7 will solve the "errors" that Vista is making. You ask if you should change to Win 7. I would say either change to Win 7 or solve the Vista errors some other way.Can you describe these errors more closely? Win 7 is great but it is not so distantly related to Vista.

That and you will probably get less errors.

OR XP mode if compatibility mode doesn't work....which has only happened once to me with an archaic business application.

This might be caused by Windows Aero. Disable it before playing old games.
