@erocker - I am using Comtrend CT-5367 Wireless ADSL2+ Router . Firewall is enabled for me.. I will disable it and try.

@Kand - what about OpenDNS? I am asking you that because when I went to Internet Troubleshooting and tried to connect to a specific website (I entered newegg.com) that is what I received:
Click on the "Open Network and Sharing Center" link on your network connection icon on the tasktray. Click on "change adapter settings" and right click the network interface you're using, then click properties. Highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4" and click on properties again.

click on the "Use the following DNS server addresses" button.

enter in 8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

press ok and your dns server connection should be changed

no problem, it can be a common issue depending on the isp.
plus openDNS uses that annoying modified google search query when an url is misstyped.

Google Chrome throws you directly to google if a url is mistyped. Not an issue. Haha.

open a command prompt, click Start and then click Run. Copy and paste (or type) the following command in the Open box and then press ENTER:
cmd
At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:
netsh int ip reset c:\
esetlog.txt
Nnetsh winsock reset catalog

If you do not want to specify a directory path for the log file, use the following command:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
Reboot the computer.
