Help with XSPC RASA 750

Thread Starter
I'm thinking of going with watercooling so I chose the RASA for a simple CPU and GPU loop. I need to know what is the best compression fittings, tubing, and coolant are for this cause I heard that their stock tubing sucks, compression fittings are better than barbs, and it doesn't come with coolant.

Any help would be appreciated

I heard the stock tubing are not that good quality, for tubing you should look into Primochill LRT as for size depends on your fittings of choice.

Compression fittings are better than barbs is just opinion not fact. People like the looks of compression fittings, depending on your budget and personal taste barbs with clamps will work and cheaper than compression fittings.

Coolant is the old fashion distill water you can get them for like Rite Aid or CVS locally.

FYI, the stock RASA kit comes with 7/16" ID X 5/8" OD tubing so when you buying new fittings make sure it matches the tubing size.

XSPC sells decent compression fittings for cheap, but most people swear by bitspower, though I've also heard people state that they prefer XSPC comp fittings to bitspower.

As for coolant, just get a gallon or two of distilled water at a local store for $1 a gallon, then buy an IandH Silver KillCoil, all you need. 1 gallon is enough to fill your loop twice, the second gallon is to flush out the radiator, though you could always just grab a third gallon for backup sake in case you need more to flush the rad.

Tubing, I use PrimoChill LRT 1/2" ID on 1/2" ID barbs, though I do use 2 compression fittings on my water block. Some people will say 7/16" on 1/2" barbs for a tight fit, but since you're going for compression fittings, it doesn't matter AT ALL, so long as you get the right size compression fittings for the tubing.

You can pick up a nice 2-3 gallon thing of it from your local grocery store for under $10. Just make sure that it has something like "For small appliance use" on it. Also, you'll need a silver coil to kill any algae in your loop.
