Hello,
i like my computer as he is now. the only thing is that anoys me is that my VGA Card Palit Gtx 470 own design is so anoyingly loud.
Has anyone tried an aftermarket cooler on it ? i know every manufacturer of aftermarket coolers says it has to be referrence. but maybe something fits/ is easily fittable ?
thanks in advance, btw. i searched!

You don't fancy a small wcing loop on it?

EDIT AH cant even get blocks for it..

its none reference and a half that card like.

Are the temps bad.. try a tim change. might sort it out. It looks a fairly good cooler tbh is there enough cool air been provided to the card?

hello,
it is now at 40 degree celsius (sufring internet)
the fan speed is set to auto in afterburbner, it is now at 40% (wich is as far as ik now the default lowes setting). i will switch it to 30% (wich is the lowest afterburner allows),
what temps are ok for surfing ?
my computer right now is not the cooles (silent case with two queit 120mm fans), 4ssds, raid card, and 2 3,5" hdds. but i am getting a new case (big tower) with a lot more fans (define xl from fractal design).
i will monitor temp changes.
but at 40% fan speed the card is so unaceptable loud that i am considering buying sth else. I bought this one because it was the only (nvidia) one with display port wich was most important for me (now all of them have it).
thanks for your reply!

I use swiftech mcw 80s on my palit's.
Palit design is not as loud as the ref design tho, unless you got bad airflow.
They used to idle at 30-40c but soon ramp up fan speeds if any graphics were on screen.

yes that price is the block alone.
No tubing,clamps,pump or reservoir.
No beer to fill it with either!
It's cheaper to make a "wind tunnel" to feed your GPU air from the front of the case.
I would also consider changing the thermal paste after the wind tunnel is temps don't drop much.
Though what are your ambient temperatures?

i hope by telling you all speedfan temps you can get an ambient temp.
gpu 50
cpu -128 (i know thats not true)
local 45
remote 43
cpu 44
local 45
remote 2 43
hd0 35
hd1 39

afterburner says pcb is 41
its pretty warm in the room, the cpu is in idle at 1200mhz its a core i7-875k
i know my english is not great, but its understandable isnt it ?
