I5-750 and I7-860 both only exist on the 1156 board i believe.

I just cannot get to 4.0...I tried 191x21 with core at 1.35 vtt 1.225 and pll 1.8 with c-state speedstep and ce1 off with dram freq at 1800 and blue screened

Currently prime95'ing 3.8 @ 180x21 with core at 1.35 vtt at 1.24 (i think) and dram at 1800 rest on auto minus the c-state speedstep and ce1 off...getting 70c roughly on 100% load 10 min so far stable...

So any suggestions on hitting that 4.0 mark? Should I go vcore to 1.4? How should I set the vtt and/or should I work with the pll? Any suggestions would be great.

I call shenanigans. I think you should bump up your voltage to the 1.4 range.

The first thing I would do is search on here for the 1156 overclocking guide to the p55 chipset. There is alot of info in there thats helpful. Next I would work with 200x20 and get that stable, it makes ram timings easy and increases your qpi link speed which nets more than just cpu speed alone. Oh and one other thing the p55 chipset was not a fan of xmp speeds which 1600 falls under. I had to set mine to manual timings and everything was fine and dandy at 1600. If I just tried to enable the xmp profile is bsod every time. Good luck!

EDIT: Nevermind Im bored heres the link

The first thing he says to do is set it to 191x21....should I do that or 200x20?
Theres lots of good info in the thread, not just the initial setup. In the guide it explains how to go about properly clocking your chip and how to troubleshoot it. What you run is up to you and what you find out. Try his method and if it works for you then enjoy. 200x20 is faster than 191x21 as other things come into play even though observed cpu rate is the same. All chips are different, mine runs perfect at 200x20 1.33vcore. Yours may never hit 4.0 or it may hit higher speeds. I suggest reading the entire thing even though there is alot to it....
