Can the evos be rooted yet because if not on stock i find them to honestly be slower than some of the single core phones and the 3d is terrible.

Ok in that case a nice custom rom and kernel and the phone probably smokes but I still stand by my previous statement if you like to leave them stock I find the 3d to be I guess clunky is a good word. This is coming from someone who usually like sense btw.

Yes, don't overlook the evo 3d. Its a HTC device built very well. Just don't use the 3d unless you want. The specs of the phone are great.

I don't want to get into rooting a phone and what not.

What does that even do?

It allows you to customize the phone to your liking.
Not to mention able you to rid yourself of the bloatware that usually comes with the phone.
It also allows you to be able to put a faster ROM on it, and a better kernel.
Sure it's great out of the box, but when you have a community supporting a phone. It opens doors of possibilities.
