Stream video to SSD

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

The title prolly isnt very clear but basicly I was wondering if its bad to have your like youtube video´s stream to your SSD. 20-30 min 1080p videos are like 1-2gb is it bad for a SSD to have this amount of storage be added and removed that frequently ?

Just wondering since people say SSDs have a limited amount of times they can write stuff to a certain place.

And if this isnt good for your SSD does anyone know how to change the location your stream goes ? havnt been able to find it myself.

It makes perfect sense what your saying, but i think that's taking it to another level. Essentially many things write to your SSD, windows updates, app updates. If i was you, after the general setup, i would throw my favorite apps and os on my ssd, and not worry about it.

Firefox has a default cache size of 1 gig, so i don't think it could be too harmful. Found this in another post though: if you want to change cache location.

Type about:config into the address bar and press enter.
Set the value of browser.cache.disk.enable to false.
Create a new integer value named disk.cache.memory.capacity and set its value to 32768 (for 32MB), 65536 (for 64MB), or 131072 (for 128MB).
Restart Firefox.
This will apply to Firefox on any operating syst
