Fixing Bfbc2 Afterburner compatibility, need a little help.

Thread Starter
Hey, I, like many people use msi afterburner when I game. Unfortunately, in Bad Company 2 many people have a problem with Afterburner 2.1.0 and later. The fix is to rename/delete RTCore.dll, but this causes the fan control to wonk out on startup and also afterburner beta 2.2.0 won't even start without it. So I have created a batch file that renames the .dll to RTCore1.dll and another that brings it back to its original state. I was curious if it's possible to make the first one launch when bfbc2 is launched. (somehow tether it to the .exe) and (more difficult) one that renames the file to stock when bfbc2 is quit. Any ideas?

Mine also freezes. I'm working on a fix. Does anyone know how to make the batch file run when an executable is run?

From what I've heard its punkbuster that is to blame for crashing with Afterburner. I just have to turn it off when I play BFBC2. I hate doing this though b/c the stock fan settings for ref. 6950s let the cards get to high 80s before actually using the fan.

Punkbuster is the problem. I just turn the fan up to 60 percent on manual, quit Afterburner, and then play BC2. Otherwise my computer crashes.

Yeah this method is the only way I can get mine to work also.
I can understand PB wanting nothing weird messing with the computer while its running, but come on cant they allow things like afterburner?

did anyone read my original post? I already know how to make afterburner work with punkbuster and bfbc2. I just need to know how to make the bat file run when the game is launched.
