How much is it per month in AUD?

I honestly don't know. The company is based in iceland, so I iamgine they take conversion rates into account, but it costs $15/month USD.

Also, for context, the scam pulled off in the article (1,000 billion ISK) is about $40,000 worth of ISK [checked my math twice].

You can turn real money into ISK, but you can't do the same in reverse.

If nothing else, you could buy an ass-load of PLEX and play for free for the foreseeable future.

I glad I never got into eve, if the main selling point of this game is to scam people outta their money. Because I don't like dishonest people so I wouldn't like a mmo company letting dishonest people get away with scamming people.

Since I know this been going on if a friend ask me for a space game with open pvp I def not gonna tell him about this. Then watch him rage months later when he gets scammed.
