Go with the i5 2500k and save $100 and pick motherboard B because motherboard A is not compatible with your CPU.

What's your budget?

Do you really need 16gb of RAM?

and replace your HDD with this if you wanna save some money

I think your purchases may be a little misguided. You can get a decent case WAY cheaper than 280 dollars. If you're going to build this for gaming you can save another 100 by getting the i5 2500k. Since there is no real gaming performance gains with the 2600k. Save another 70-80 on the RAM and go with an 8gb Kit instead. Then use that extra money for a better PSU and GPU.

Also you have two different chip-set mobos...the second one is compatible with the processor you listed the first is not.

Also do not get the 800D unless you plan on water cooling. If you don't plan on water cooling I would invest in a CPU heatsink and a different case with all the money you could save by cutting unnecessary costs.

The budget is anything under 2 grand, but I'd rather spend less then 1.5k. What kind of GPU should I get? Also, the 2nd motherboard is compatible with the i5 2500k right? Sorry to be a newb lol, it's my first build.

Those parts will be compatible and will fit in the 800D.
I would suggest the 2nd motherboard. The 1st one you linked to uses the LGA 1366 socket which is incompatible with the CPU you have chosen. The 2nd one uses the LGA 1155 socket which is compatible with the CPU you have chosen.

Also why do you need 16GB of RAM?
4 or 8GB of RAM is enough for most systems unless you edit video or audio.

I assume you are using the stock CPU cooler that comes with the CPU as you haven't linked to one. I would suggest something like a coolermaster hyper 212.

Yes you a correct the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO is compatible with the i5 2500k. The 2nd Gen core i's are socket LGA1155.

GPU is all about preference. You're going to have to do the leg work on that one. You can't go wrong with an ATI 6950 or 6970 or A nvidea 560 or 570. All 4 are really great cards.

The second motherboard is compatible, yes. For 1500 bucks you can get yourself a very nice rig.

For the GPU I suggest the gtx 570 or even the 6950 2gb. It depends on how much money you want to spend.

Case: I am really biased when it comes to white cases so my vote would go to the NZXT Phantom, or the 600T
The NZXT Phantom is a fan favorite around here but it's ultimately your choice.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=NZXT+Phantom&x=0&y=0

Buy 8gb RAM instead of 16.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445

Buy the i5 2500k instead of the 2600k.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072

You're also gonna need a CPU heatsink. That really depends on the size of your case. I know for a fact that the D14 fits in both the 600T and the Phantom.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018&Tpk=noctua%20d14

You can save some cash on the motherboard if you go with this. It's a good motherboard. It's the one I have.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131771

Someone is bound to post better components than I have but these are pretty good for your price range IMO.
