Extended Desktop with 2 difrent monitors?

Thread Starter
Hi,

I want to learn C# and I cant read the lessons and work in visual studio well, so I was wondering if there was a way to set up with 2 monitors. I have my main which is 1080p and one from an old dell computer that is I think 1024x7xx. So, can I use diffrent resolutions for each monitor, or how can I make it so that my main keeps the same resolution but I can keep a webpage on another.

Thanks,
Build it Fast

Edit: Yaaaaaa!!! 200th post.

You should be able to right-click your desktop, go into screen resolution, and adjust as you like.

Set the displays to extended desktop, then select each, one at a time to set resolution and orientation. I find it nice to run one in portrait and one in landscape for things like this.

Hope this helps,

Rich

Simple, connect the 2nd monitor up and go into screen resolution from right clicking on the win 7 desktop and then set 2nd monitor up as extend this display From where it says multiple displays and choose the resolution from those available and hit apply.

No need to set the 1080p monitor up as it is setup already and should stay setup as you had it.

sure - I'm currently browsing OCN on my laptop's internal screen at 1440x900, while I'm writing a PowerPoint presentation at 1680x1050 on my external monitor. Go to properties (as above), select 'extend' and change the resolutions as required.

Ok, thanks. I just have had no experience at all working with more than 1 monitor except the time I connected my dads and did eyefinity 2 screen for like 15 min. Before I got a headache from blurrines because they are 2 difreent res. and size.
