If i can get this for under $200 would you suggest that i grab it?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Intel-i7-920-...item3a693c1905

-i7-920
-asetek 240 version of h50
- 6gigs of 1600 ram
- ASUS P6T SE mobo

EDIT: also could some one more knowledgeable with intel processors be able to tell me which stepping it is? there's a pic of the processor on the ebay link.

Everyone starts somewhere.

OP, it may be a C0 920. The C0's overclock like crap. But that is a good deal.

If there were any legitimacy to this sale, it would be an extremely good buy. However, like nckid4u said, this looks very very fishy.

I agree that i don't like the fact that there is no feed back, but its almost too good to pass up

EDIT: I just looked and the guy has been a member since 2009. I dont think you make an account two years in advance to scam some one. your thoughts?

Be careful with this. As others have mentioned, the seller has no feedback. Also, buying used computer components is VERY risky. Even if it works when you get it, you never know what stupid things the previous owner might have done to the hardware that could cause it to fry in 2 months...

I know it sucks to wait, but if you can save a little money and buy new components you will at least have the peace-of-mind of a warranty and lessen the liklihood of failure. Newegg and TigerDirect always have good deals on CPU/MoBo combos, and for a couple hundred bucks more you can get some good stuff + RAM.

I just looked it up and the D0's have SLBEJ on them and the C0's have SLBCH i believe. The cpu in the picture on Ebay has SLBEJ on the heat spreader so i think it is a D0.
