If your using v7 for the GPU I'd use it for the CPU too. Otherwise I'd go with the individual console clients for the CPU and GPU. Don't mix and match.

So far it seems to favor non-24/7 and partial folders (those using fewer clients than they normally would). The idea is noble, get people to fold more/increase WU production, but its lopsided against 24/7 folders. Ideally a 24/7 folder or someone folding on all their clients will take ~10 days to reach their goal. While a part time folder will get there much faster, if they start folding 24/7 for the contest.

I'm not against the contest (its really about generating more productivity in the end, not the points), but it doesn't feel like a contest to me.

Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.
Exactly! As someone who folds SMP roughly 12 hours per day, 5-6 days a week, my target was set relatively low compared to what my hardware is capable of. That said, this event has been doing a great job of encouraging people like me to bust out that squandered PPD:

It's hard to make folding competitive and fair, and I don't think there's any single best way to go about it. But if we look at TenFold not as a competition, but as a campaign to increase folding, I think it's been doing amazingly so far.

TL;DR: I apparently don't GPU-fold unless I'm trying to "beat" someone at something (I should change that.)

Happy folding, folks! Keep it up!

Oh I wish I was just pointing out how amazing it is that Team OCN shattered the 10mil PPD mark and jumped straight to 11mil yesterday.

btw congrats on first in the bigadv division!

Just restarted my client due to it crashing, now it looks like this.

Could it indicate a problem with my GPU?

I'm also getting what looks like static on my screen.

Restart your PC. The few times I've gotten video errors while folding, restarting the PC has fixed them (you shouldn't lose any WUs).

Restarting solved the problem, looks like i lost the GPU WU it was working on.

I honestly credit, pure luck that i happened to pick up a big bigadv a few days before starting....i clocked back my OC, so i could actually finish this one, in theory (never have before)

left my system nice and cool for the period, and poof.....

then my i5 2400 dropped a regular bigadv the next day....

but thank you, first time winning @ anything in a long time!

If I didn't have friends with gaming computers I wouldn't have done well at all.

I feel like the person who takes exactly 10 days is the winner because out means that they were already doing the best they could.

By the way, when the stats update I will be done. I don't know if kevdog will have finished too though.

Edit: they updated and I DIDN'T finish? kevdog snatched third away from me somehow. GG kevdog.
