360mm rad inside HAF 922

Thread Starter
I am planning on putting my 360mm WCing rad inside my HAF 922. I was originally going to put 2/3 of the rad (2x120mm fan spaces) under the top grill. Only problem with that is that one 120mm fan space would be under the top where there is no ventilation. I would like to somehow cut a little bit into the top where that one 120mm space is covered. I know this mod has been done before, but I would like to do so without completely ruining the top-look of the 922.

Here are some pics of the situation:

Thanks in advance!

-Jack

You would have to cut some vents in to the plastic top bezel, like in the sort of splitter part at the back and then cut the chassis under that. It could easily look bad and you wil must likely have to sand and repaint the plastic too.

Why not 240 in roof and 120 in back or floor?

Okay, that's precisely what I was thinking. What tool should I use to get in there? Dremel is too short... I think ?????

He is probably talking about this part right here:

It's the plastic tray that also houses the power, reset, and light buttons.

With the right amount of finesse you should be able to use a dremel to cut the needed holes in your case. You will probably need to take is slowly, and be careful with the plastic because it tends to melt, but it can be done.

Okay, thanks.

Where do you think I should cut, (but like I said before) without making it look horrible???
