I dunno, kone[+] doesn't have very much positive real-world reviews outside of its impressive stats on paper. DA has enough actual performance information both good and bad, by both professional hardware reviewers and amateur gamers, to make it a more informed option. At least you have a good assumption of what you are getting with a DA.

i see, i got you're point, thanks man. i guess that brings me down to choosing between g500 and DA for now.

I'm not saying to rule out the kone[+], I'm just saying that not much is known and what is known isn't necessarily positive, but really isn't definitive either. The DA has ALOT of information available about it both positive and negative. You can decide whether the DA is a good mouse for you based on this plethora of information, whereas the kone[+] is something of a gamble because of lack of information aside from some negatives. I'm not recommending the DA over the kone[+], but there is definitely much more experience to draw upon the DA than the kone[+].

Edit: I might seem to be wobbling here, but your original question was a kone[+] vs DA BE. One has essentially nothing known about it aside from some bad press, the other has MUCH known about it with both good and bad press. Since the kone[+] has pretty much zero information aside from some middling unpositive opinions and the DA has a lot of specific good/bad information about it, the DA is the better option in this head-to-head. I'm not saying it's the best option out there, I'm just saying given the question the DA seems 'safer' as long as it's negatives don't outweight the positives for you. Otherwise, take the gamble and go with the kone[+] (which again, we really don't know much about).

don't worry man, i got your point. And to be specific, you were right that not much is known about kone[+], and whatever is known in real-life user feedback, most of it shed it in a negative light. And actually the only thing that's dissuading me from instantly choosing the kone[+] is the scroll glitch or scroll issue that most are complaining about in youtube and other forums.

Kinda disappointing, i'm really eyeing the kone[+], but I want to be a little more practical and choose a product that has a better "stability" and a general positive feedback. I'm not ready to gamble my money yet, maybe if I have extra.

So right now, i'm continuing my research on feedback regarding the g500 and the DA, since both of them are pretty much solid contenders.

Btw, what mouse do you use czerro?

how does the razer salmosa feel against the DA anyone know? Got mine on woot.com and been really happy with it, but the DA sounds perfect for my grip...

aside from aesthetics and personal form preferences, is the prediction of g500 the only thing that's inhibiting it from being equal with the deathadder black edition?

G500's angle snapping can be turned off in the drivers software. Maybe you were thinking g400.

Aside from that g500 is a lazer mouse and the DA is optical. Which leads to the g500 not performing as good on a cloth pad. It malfunction on a low sensitivity.
Also its sensor is off center. Peeps also mention some positive (or was it negative?) accel.

The only good thing a can say about the g500 is the comfort. The DA gives me palm fatigue. But I can live with that as long as it performs good.

The G500 uses the Avago 9500 sensor. The 9500 has negative acceleration on cloth pads, and positive acceleration on hard pads. You really need the right pad if you're going for an avago 9500 mouse. The sensor location on the bottom of the G500 is also questionable, and some people say it affects the tracking.

The Deathadder 3.5G can have some stairstepping on some cloth pads, but other than that it's the best sensor available (behind the Deathadder 1800dpi).

If you want a more ergonomically styled mouse, I'd choose the Mionix 5000 over the G500 (same sensor).

thanks guys for those corrections and suggestions. Well that's a bummer, it seems the g500 has many other intricacies that i do not know of.

I actually like the g500 because it has dedicated buttons for changing dpi, while having a few extra buttons. I was hoping that in getting a da:be, i can just bind "change dpi" on its side buttons. Problem is, i've read in the DA:BE thread here at ocn that there is a delay before the dpi changes if I use dpi binding on it. It kinda misses the point if that's the case, because I was hoping i could use it in real time action.

Could you guys enlighten me how much the acceleration of the g500 affect your game? Because if it's just something that someone can practically overcome through familiarity of the mouse, then i'd stick with the g500.

Or maybe i can minimize it if not eliminate through some preferred mouse pad? I usually use my mouse straight on my computer desk, which is just some form of laminated wood, i'm wondering if it'd suffice.
