Ati Display driver Crash on BC2 (tried everything)

Thread Starter
Hey everyone, never had this issue before on Bad Caompany 2 or any other game, iam running a 5850 (amd driver 11,6 now)on my sig rig.

All the time im playing it crashes between 5 and 20 minutes of playing.
Game freezes for like 10 sec, goes white screen of death (before it goes white sometimes goes light green, light dirt color, light blue (if playing in Port of Valdez) etc)
I press Alt tab and see the message on bottom right corner say driver display AMD bla bla bla

I have tried:
driver sweep, rollback to 11.6,
have tried renaming exe to BF2.exe
tried on catalyst software upping the clocks a bit and a lot,
on catalyst manually upping fan speed
putting AA to 1x
lower resolution, higher resolution, lowering quality

If anyone could help me out what i could next to try make it work i would deeply appreciate it, thanks!!

I have heard some issues regarding running msi afterburner and BFBC2, because punkbuster has issues. Try getting in a game that punkbuster is not enabled, or even just play the story to see if the game still crashes.

Disable any monitoring software, especially MSI Afterburner. Also move away from 11.6 Drivers, they have problems with HDMI. I suggest you try try 11.7 or 11.8.

I used to have a white screen of death when opening bc2. EA instructed me to delete all my temp files. It fixed it. haha

Try playing BC2 without afterburner or Trixx. I had the same problem
last time but after closing trixx whenever I play BC2 fixed my problem
not even a single crash.

for me it works with afterburner but only if i delete file "rtcore.cfg" from afterburner folder, this way there is no freezes but voltage control disappear.

aSilva, have you found a fix to the issue yet?
A lot of people associated it in the past with Realtek's audio drivers...

realtek is the top reason why BFBC2 crashes, try getting a dedicated sound card, or a USB-speaker (dont know what they are called, just dont use the green plug XD )

disabled realtek at your bios, and your crashes will most likely disappear
