Game recording on a monitor

Thread Starter
I bought a monitor recently and have been using it for my ps3 and adobe dream weaver and many other things. Today i remembered when i was trying to record games on my laptop but it always would lower the performance of the game by a lot. So my question is, Can I record my laptop using the monitor and another laptop. I have a total of three spare laptop and one is relatively new. I would also want to know if i could record games on my ps3 using the monitor as well, this would also involve a laptop i would think. Is there any way i could do this?
