i switched to Shaw with 25mbits and i rarely ever get the 2.7MB constantly. most of the time i get that 2.7MB its for the first 20 sec's of a download, then it slows down to 1MB. is this shaw throttling my download speed?
telus was 10mibts slower then shaw(advertised) but from usage, shaw seems to be slower 90% of the time.
*sometimes when i pause and resume downloads, they go much faster.
I'm just going outright and skipping to the badumpshish...
Go to http://secure.shaw.ca
, use ur login info, or create one. Check your most recent bill if any. Identify if you are on HIGH SPEED, or EXTREME.
I'm on HS, and I get the bump to 2.7mb (megabyte*) per second for a short bit, then grace back down to 1-1.2mb.
Also, not to ask much, but pm me the mac on ur mdm, I can tell ya if u were setup properly or not (signal strength good/bad/plain ugly). (IF THIS line breaches anything on oc.net i'll gladly delete it asap if issue is there, it's to save the guy $$, service calls, and hassles).
I'm more then happy to help ya fix this better... I used to be a TSR for shaw for almost 2.6yrs...
