If i was upgrading, i wouldn't spend the money. The rig I have right now is my work setup. I don't game on it. This would be a new build for my own personal computer to replace my AMD build from several years ago.
That being said, I will probably only be interested if the $300 model is better than the 2600k. Or if they release one without hyperthreading so I overclock it higher.
