do not use auto overclock, the motherboard DOES NOT know how to overclock properly for every chip. do the voltage manually, starting from stock frequency/voltage and work your way up. once you go high enough on frequency, temps permitting, you will hit a "wall", that when going over it, will take exponencially
more voltage. this is when you know you are reaching the limits of your cpu. again, learn to MANUALLY OVERCLOCK. it will be better for you and your system.
EDIT: this is a graph i made of my cpu when i started overclocking it when i got it. as you can see, the "wall" starts at about 3.6. this was when i still had stock cooler. switching to my H50, the curve stayed the same, just shifted more towards higher frequencies from lower tempsEdited by Namwons - 9/11/11 at 9:40am
