Why would you invest in a Z68 board if you're going to throw a non-K SB processor on it?
If your content on that processor, look at H61 or H67 miniITX board, that's if they make them.

for the ram support and better chipset? also this leaves room for future upgrades

Sandy Bridge CPUs don't see a huge benefit from DDR3 2133 vs DDR3 1600 so that ram 'support' is a mute point. If you're sticking with Z68, spend the extra $30 and get the 2500k

Where are you purchasing from? You linked to Canadacomputers, NCIX and the US Newegg store. Are you from Canada or US? Just asking because the prices on some things are not the best if you're from US. Also, ASRock is supposed to release their mini-ITX Z68 soon which should be cheaper than the Zotacs if you want to save/wait.

im in canada so i will be going canadacomputers and ncix mostly, i dont have a choice with the sg07 because only newegg has stock. im actually looking to cut some costs on this so dont want to be spending more. maybe i should go with a h67 board? i was aiming for around 800$ but with the case and cpu being 200 a piece i cant seem to cut on anything else.

Was there something specific you wanted in the SG07? You can switch to the Sugo 05 or 06 which are available on newegg.ca and should save you about $75+. They'll both fit the components you've picked

Dropping down to H67 would save you money, since you aren't going to be able to OC the i5 2400. Maybe even drop down to the i3 2100 to save more, it's a capable CPU also.

if you do consider an H67, I would give this one from ECS a look:

http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?...TX-Motherboard

I am using it with an i5-2300, and was previously running an i3-2100. has most of the high end features like Sata III, USB 3.0. I am running 2 x 2GB 1600 ram at 1333 speed, and my machine still handles games just fine

i updated my build for now. i want to thank everyone for their input so far and i would love for you guys to keep on commenting. i've downgraded a lot of the components for a more budget build. im not a hardcore gamer, only games i want to play right now are sc2 and d3 when its out (@1920x1200). i moved to a much lower end mobo because i dont need sata3, or at least dont think i do. if there are any components that you think are well below "good enough" please let me know, i do have a little room in the budget now to play around with. thanks again guys.
