im having problems with assassins creed brotherhood

i recently purchased the game from direct 2 drive and have successfully download the game. when i first start the game i press the spacebar on the first cut scene to skip it but after it turns into a white screen and switches to a very laggy cut scene. is the problem normal to occur? i doubt this has to do with my computer specs.

Do you get this problem with any other game? Check your GPU temps (possible run a benchie) and CPU temps (run Prime95). Laggy behaviour seems like something is over heating.

nope it only happens with this game. i attempted to torrent this game and i had the same problem as the legit copy i have which is why i purchased the real version.

update. This time i didnt press any keys and let the cut scene play( it went thru flawlessly). When it was over, a second laggy cut scene played and the monitor would turn off and turn on and play a very brief moment of the cut scene and repeat itself. As the monitor turns on the fan speeds up for a brief moment. Im getting the same problem whenn i had the torrented version

Can you play the game or it just freeze ?
Did you tried without your GPU unlocked ?
I know some stability test arn't as good as a real game most part of the time (ie: will pass several furmark but will crash ingame)

Try driver updates/older drivers.
Do a clean re-install of the game.

Hopefully those do something, for you shouldnt be gettnig these problems. On both an ATI Radeon HD 4830 and a Geforce GTX 460 on ACB I was fine.

Edit: as another person said it could be because of the unlocked 6950, might have bad stability. Try it on stock.
